District 1199J would like to extend an invitation to our 33rd Annual Aberdeen Solomon David Memorial Scholarship Fund Awards Dinner. To date, we have awarded over $500,000.00 in scholarships to the most deserving and motivated children and/or grandchildren of our members. This event will take place on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the following location:

Also, we will award at least one (I) scholarship to a working member of District 11991. This will be the Joseph N. Franklin Memorial Scholarship Award. Donations to this Fund may be made separately using the enclosed form and will be distributed through the Aberdeen S. David Scholarship Fund.


This year we will be honoring five (5) outstanding individuals who have made great contributions
to their profession. They are:


❖ Mr. Craig_ Guy, Hudson County E1ecutive~ will rtteive the AMrdttn David Outstanding
Legislator Award.
❖ Mr. John Vreeland, Esq., Jackson Lewis, P.C., will receive the Aberdeen David Outstanding
Labor .Relations Award.
❖ Ms. Debbie Parks, lnternatioaaJ IVP/Associate Director, AFSCME Council 63, ~·ill r«eive the
Aberdeen David Labor Lnder Achievement Award.
❖ Mr. Dan Ledva, Man.aging Partner, Kelson Group, will rtteive the Aberdeen David Outstanding
Service Award.
❖ Ms. Janice Peterson, I 199J Delegate, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, will receive the
Aberdeen David Myrtle Hartsfield Labor Award
